Description
Wheatsheaf Cowl Pattern, knit using Aran or DK yarn, pdf format
Contents
The Wheatsheaf Cowl pattern is a pdf pattern to knit a cowl to match our Wheatsheaf Hat and can be made with either DK or Aran (Worsted) weight yarn.
The cable pattern reminds me of a wheatsheaf, hence the name, but my friend bluesocks thought they looked like X’s for kisses. Either way, I love it. It’s a quick knit, great way to use up small amounts of yarn and you can make a matching set as a gift.
The cable pattern has both charted and written instructions.
Gauge/Tension for body of cowl in cable pattern – unstretched:
16sts x 32 rows = 3in x 4in/7.5cm x 10cm with 5mm/US8
16sts x 32rows = 3 5/8th in 9.25cm x 4in/7.5cm x 10cm with 5.5mm/US9

Wheatsheaf Cowl Pattern
This would be fabulously warm knitted in Debbie Bliss Blue Faced Leicester Aran yarn.
You can also buy this pattern on Ravelry.com or our Payhip store.
Cowls are a great way to learn a new stitch pattern, play around with drape by using a larger needle than suggested and also to experiment with colour.
