Test Knitters Wanted – Evergreen Cowl
Contents
Test knitters wanted for my Evergreen Cowl pattern. I finished my sample for the Evergreen Cowl design a couple of days ago, photos below. The cowl features ribbed bands top and bottom, just 2×2 ribbing and an all over cable pattern for the body of the cowl itself.
I knitted my cowl with worsted/dk weight yarn. The sample was knitted using Stylecraft Highland Heathers DK in the colour Gorse which is a yellowy green with some heathers of teal and rust running through the yarn. It is rich and beautiful. My sample, unstretched and before blocking, measured 18″ circumference with lots of available stretch and was 11 1/4″ tall. I used only 66g of yarn, approx 196 yds but my calculations for yardage will allow a little extra, just in case.
My cowl can be folded over double for warmth or worn higher up the neck onto my chin, it’s up to you. It matches my Campside cardigan knitted in the same yarn and will go with so many items in my wardrobe. It took only a few evenings to knit but you do have to pay attention to those cable crosses.
The test knit will be running here in our Woolly Madly Deeply Ravelry group, please sign up there and then message me with your email so I can send the pattern when the test starts.
Thanks so much
Loraine

I really think this colour is much more of an Olive green, but the shade card says Forest. It’s still very autumnal and rich, very soft yarn and washes beautifully.
