Woolly Madly Deeply Sheep Logo

How are you today?

Once a week we send out the latest blog posts, so you're always up to date with our Woolly News, latest patterns and what we've been up to on the Vlog.

As always the latest blogs post are listed below, the first one asks for your help with naming a hat pattern. I chose a funny, but cheeky title for the hat as I was knitting it, do I keep that name (it's clickable and will draw attention), or do I go for something a bit less naughty? You can reply to this email and let me know your thoughts.

We've also released a new pattern, which you may have seen in email. The Cathedral Cowl, to match our Cathedral Cabled Hat, it's knitted in Aran yarn and despite the cable pattern, is a quick knit. It took me a couple of evenings at most. It's unisex and the pattern includes instructions on how to make the cowl wider, or narrower, should you wish. You could also knit it double the height for a folded, extra warm cowl, but will obviously need more yarn for that.
Newsletter subscribers have a discount code Cathedral30 which is valid until 21st November and will take 30% off the cowl and also the matching hat.

We had a look at the latest Christmas and Holiday themed patterns on Ravelry on Thursday 12th and on Sunday 15th we had a special guest, Helen Gipson, to show us her latest knitted blanket pattern Cabled Isles. Links further down in the email.

Stay safe and be well. Lots of love to all

Youthful York Scarflette and scarf set Pattern

Youthful York Scarflette and scarf set Pattern
The York Scarflette and scarf set Pattern was inspired by the yarn used in my sample scarf. I was so impressed with Lanas Stop York Merino and couldn’t wait to make something with it. Messing around with stitch patterns and swatching for a larger item, I found I had pretty much made a small scarf. A simple crochet edging was attached and voila, the York Scarflette was finished.

Heavenly Hot Cocoa Hat Pattern 2020

Hot Cocoa Hat Pattern
The Hot Cocoa hat was actually a swatch and a bit of a play around with stitch patterns. This resulted in a hat with a shaped, short row brim, which then needed a matching cowl and eventually a waistcoat/vest. 25% off with code Autumn until end of day 27th September 2020.
